Married, and straight into celebration mode — signature drinks in hand within minutes. When the timeline is built right, cocktail hour feels like this: nobody waiting, nobody wondering what's next.

The surprise nobody saw coming: partway through the celebration, Pistol Pete himself walked in — Oklahoma State's mascot, and the ultimate guest of honor for a room full of Cowboy fans. He was on my timeline for 8:30, right after the cake cutting and toasts, because surprises like that only look effortless. Somebody has to time the entrance, wrangle the photo line, and get the party back on the dance floor afterward — that's the job, and honestly? It's my favorite part of the job.

Inside the White Barn, the color came with them: a floral arch behind the sweetheart table, disco-ball vases on the tables, and disco balls catching the light over the whole room. Bold, playful, and completely them — proof that "elegant" and "fun" are not opposites.
