How Much Does a Wedding

Planner Cost in Tulsa?

The short answer: In Tulsa, wedding day management (often called day-of coordination) typically starts around $1,500, partial planning around $2,500, and full-service planning around $6,000. What you'll actually pay depends on how much support you want, your guest count, and how complex your wedding day is.

I'm Sharon Holm, owner of Tulsa Weddings & Design. After 20+ years and 500+ weddings here in Tulsa and Northeast Oklahoma, I believe pricing should be easy to find and easy to understand — so here are my real starting prices, what each level includes, and how to decide which one fits your wedding.

How does that compare to a typical Tulsa wedding budget?

The average Tulsa wedding is estimated at roughly $36,700–$44,900 total, with planner/coordinator services averaging around $2,950–$3,600 of that budget. In other words, professional planning help is usually about 5–10% of the total wedding budget — and it's the line item that protects all the others. One avoided mistake — a vendor who isn't the right fit, a rental order that's short, a timeline that runs an hour behind — can cost more than coordination itself.

You'll also find cheaper day-of options in the Tulsa area (limited packages start around $500, with most comprehensive coordination between $1,000–$2,200). Those packages usually differ in three ways: how many weeks before the wedding work begins, how many hours of coverage you get, and how much experience is standing behind the timeline. Always ask what's included — a six-hour package and a ten-hour package look very different when your wedding day arrives.

What affects the cost of a wedding planner?

- Level of support — managing a finished plan costs less than building one with you from the start

- Guest count and venue logistics — larger weddings, multiple locations, and room flips take more hands and more hours

- Hours of coverage — and whether additional assistants are needed on the day

- Design scope — full design development takes more time than executing a finished vision

- Travel — I'm based in Tulsa and happily travel throughout Northeast Oklahoma and beyond; travel may affect your quote

Wedding planner vs. day-of coordinator — what's the difference?

A wedding planner helps you plan the wedding itself: budget, vendors, design, contracts, and decisions from the beginning. A coordinator (my Wedding Day Management) steps in during the final weeks to organize the plans you've already made and execute them on the day. If you love planning but don't want to spend your wedding day answering questions and watching the clock, management is the perfect fit. If decision-making itself feels overwhelming, partial or full planning will serve you better.

Is a wedding planner worth it?

Here's what I tell every couple: you don't need someone to take over your wedding. You need someone who knows what matters, when it matters, and how to make it all run smoothly. The greatest gift my couples talk about afterward isn't a detail — it's that they got to be present. They celebrated like guests at their own wedding while someone experienced handled the vendor questions, the timeline, and the surprises. That's what you're really buying.

Questions Tulsa couples ask me about cost

When should we book a planner?

For full planning, as early as possible — ideally before you book your venue, since venue choice shapes your whole budget. For day management, couples often book me 6+ weeks to several months out; popular Tulsa dates go first, so earlier is always better.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Every package can be paid on a payment plan rather than all at once — when you book, we'll set up a simple payment schedule together. The right level of support shouldn't have to wait on one big payment.

Why don't all planners list their prices?

Every wedding is different, so many planners quote custom. I list starting prices because I think you deserve to know whether I'm in your range before we ever talk. Your final quote is always confirmed after a consultation, once I understand your day.

Can we start with day management and upgrade later?

Yes — always. Plenty of couples book Wedding Day Management, then realize partway through planning that they'd love more help. You can upgrade to Partial or Full Planning whenever you need more assistance, and we'll simply move you to the level of support that fits. Starting with management is never a lock-in.

Do you plan weddings outside Tulsa?

Yes — I'm based in Tulsa and plan weddings throughout Northeast Oklahoma, including Broken Arrow, Jenks, Bixby, Owasso, and Claremore, and I'm available for destination weddings too.

Ready to find your level of support?

Tell me about your day and I'll confirm your date and exact quote. I respond to all inquiries within 48 hours.
