A Clear Vision, Beautifully Fine-Tuned

Some weddings are elegant. Some are joyful. Kaitlyn & John's was both at once, turned all the way up — color in every direction, personality in every detail, and a ranch full of people who were clearly having the time of their lives.

Kaitlyn and John planned this wedding themselves, and they planned it well: bridesmaids in light blue against bouquets that refused to be quiet — red, orange, yellow, and pink all at once — tan suits, a tiered cookie tower stacked with "Go Pokes" and K+J monogram cookies, and a photo booth glowing pink under a neon sign that read The Dexter's. My job was the day itself: the timeline, the vendors, the hundred moving pieces behind the scenes, so the two of them — and their families — could simply be in it.

And then there was the surprise. Partway through the celebration, Pistol Pete walked in — a secret kept for the groom, an Oklahoma State superfan if there ever was one. John's face said everything. (This was my second Pistol Pete surprise; the first ambushed another groom at Spain Ranch. Something about a seven-foot cowboy appearing on a dance floor just never gets old.) Ask John his favorite moment of the whole day and it's Pete, no contest.

Ask Kaitlyn, and it's the dance floor — specifically, dancing the night away to "What Dreams Are Made Of," which tells you everything about the spirit of this bride and this party. The night ended the way it had to: the two of them running through cold-spark fountains outside the ranch, one last dip and kiss between the sparks.

In his mother's words: after the wedding, John's mother told me something I haven't stopped thinking about:

"My only regret is wishing I'd known about Tulsa Weddings & Design sooner."
— The mother of the groom, Teresa Dexter

She didn't mean the wedding day. The day ran the way it was supposed to — she got to watch her son get married, dance, and be surprised by a cowboy, instead of watching the clock. She meant the months before it: the planning she carried on her own, not knowing there was someone who could have carried it with her family.

That's the part of this work that stays with me. A wedding day manager isn't really about timelines and vendor calls — it's about who gets to be a guest at their own child's wedding. John's mother was one. That's the goal every single time.

Planning a wedding at Pecandarosa Ranch?

If you're planning a wedding at Pecandarosa Ranch, or anywhere around Tulsa, and you've got the vision handled — maybe you've even got most of the planning handled — Wedding Day Management is where I come in: I take the timeline, the vendors, and the day itself off your plate, so you and your family can actually live the day you planned. And if the planning itself starts feeling bigger than you expected, you can always move up to more support along the way.

I respond to all inquiries within 48 hours.
