Classic, With a Little Extra Support

The Bella Donna's stone chapel could come straight out of a storybook — arched windows, a garden path, light everywhere. Rachel & Charlie chose the venue's DIY package, which gives a couple the beautiful place and the freedom to build the day themselves. What they didn't want was to build it alone — so they brought in Partial Planning for the additional support a DIY package leaves room for: someone to help shape the plan, keep the pieces moving, and make sure nothing about the day rested entirely on their shoulders.

The day they built was classic from the first detail. Dusty blue and white, everywhere: bridesmaids in soft blue, a bouquet of white roses touched with blue, paper goods lined with tiny painted scenes of the venue itself. Tucked in among Rachel's details was the sweetest one — a heart-shaped patch printed with a childhood photograph of Rachel and her dad, lettered "Forever your little girl." Some things a planner just gets to witness.

Her mom helped her into her gown. The groomsmen ready to shine in black tie. And then the chapel: a harpist playing as guests settled in, and Rachel & Charlie saying their vows in front of those tall arched windows, the light coming through behind them. Her dad's embrace by those same windows says everything about the morning — some photographs don't need a caption at all.

Outside, the storm was building but the whole wedding party gathered in front of the stone chapel, and the two of them stole the quieter portraits the grounds are made for — veil photographs in the soft light, a full-length moment on the garden path, and more laughter than posing. Rachel's smile gives her away in nearly every frame: this was a bride who got to actually be in her day.

Inside for the evening: a first dance under the chandelier on the black-and-white checkered floor, a simple white cake cut together at a dusty-blue table — and then the send-off every Bella Donna couple dreams about, out through a tunnel of sparklers, both of them beaming. A DIY package means the couple builds the day; the right support means they still get to live in it while it happens. Rachel & Charlie did both.

A DIY package is a lovely way to marry at The Bella Donna — the venue gives you the place and the freedom, and the rest of the day is yours to shape. Rachel & Charlie's wedding is what that looks like with the right support underneath it: the plan had an owner, the details had a home, and when the day arrived, the two of them weren't managing anything. They were getting married — veil photographs, happy tears from Dad, and a sparkler tunnel to run through at the end of the night.

Planning a Bella Donna wedding?

If you're booking The Bella Donna's DIY package, Partial Planning is the piece that keeps "do it yourself" from meaning "do it all alone." I come alongside the planning you've already started — helping you shape the day, coordinate the vendor team, and build the timeline — and I'm there on the day to run it, so you and your family can be guests at your own wedding. And if you find partway through that you'd like more support, you can always move up to a higher level of help.
